ABJ History & Objectives
The American Business Group of Jeddah (or ABJ) operates as a not-for-profit association and is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and managed by a volunteer Executive Committee selected from active members of the organization. The declared purpose of the ABJ is to foster the development of commercial activity, between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ABJ promotes friendship, understanding, and other matters of mutual interest between the U.S. business community in the Kingdom and the people of Saudi Arabia.
The ABJ is a business group founded in 1977, committed to fostering the Saudi-American business relationship and assisting American companies operating in the Gulf region. At present there are over 100 diverse members doing business or providing services in Jeddah. Through a balanced mix of business, friendly sports and community functions, the ABJ seeks to meet the many interests of its membership and provide access to information and activities not otherwise readily available in the Kingdom.
